We know professional truck drivers are sought after by many companies. At Westcan we want to attract drivers who not only excel, but enjoy the type of work we have to offer. We separate our transportation sector in two - bulk transport and freight systems. We try to match our employment opportunities based on driver experience and preference. We also invest heavily in cross-training our drivers on multiple products, so the driver is more versatile and has greater earning opportunities.
We are actively looking for full time, rotational and seasonal company truck drivers to haul our products throughout Western and Northern Canada. At any given time, various locations are hiring Lease Operators (Independent Contractors). To note: we don't haul east of Manitoba nor stateside.
Our Company Drivers Enjoy:

Company Drivers offer:

Recent Class 1A, 7 or 8 axle experience

Lease Operators Offer:

Minimum 3 years driving experience; 7 or 8 axle experience an asset

Late model tractor; must be 2008 or newer
-
Dry bulk commodity hauling experience considered paramount
Our company drivers and lease operators have a safety conscious attitude and approach to their job duties. They are self starters with results oriented work styles combined with an ability to maintain a sense of humour in challenging situations. Both company drivers and lease operators must come with a clean driver's abstract, criminal record and adhere to a pre-access medical and drug screen.
